SAN FRANCISCO — Amazon said on Wednesday that this Thanksgiving holiday shopping weekend between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday was its biggest ever.

"This was a record-breaking holiday shopping weekend for Amazon. Customers shopped millions of deals this weekend and we have many more amazing deals to come," said Doug Herrington, CEO of Worldwide Amazon Stores.

The company, however, did not disclose its overall revenue for the five-day shopping weekend.

Customers supported small businesses this holiday shopping weekend, generating more than 1 billion U.S. dollars in sales for small businesses in the United States, according to Amazon.
